Not at all. We offer classes for every level starting with NSSF First Shots and Essential Handgun Part 1 — both designed for people who have never received formal firearms training. Our certified instructors will meet you exactly where you are.
It depends on the class. Many of our beginner classes allow rentals from our 100+ firearm fleet. Advanced and tactical classes typically require your own firearm. Each class listing specifies the required equipment. Call 936-271-2620 or email training@saddleriverrange.com with questions.
Full refund for cancellations made 72+ hours before class. Within 48 hours, a one-time reschedule within 4 months is available. Less than 24 hours before class, no refund or reschedule is available. Email training@saddleriverrange.com for all cancellation and reschedule requests.
Yes. Silver members receive 15% off all training classes. Gold members receive 25% off. Crockett Texas (Club Crockett) members receive 50% off. Memberships start at $25/month — the training discounts alone can quickly pay for the membership.
Whiskey Hollow is Saddle River Range's outdoor training facility located in Montgomery, TX. It offers a dynamic outdoor environment for advanced tactical drills, scenario-based training, and specialty courses not available indoors — including action shooting, intermediate AR levels, and defensive shotgun courses.

We offer 100+ training opportunities per month across all class types. LTC classes run multiple times per month. Most popular classes like Essential Handgun, Everyday Carry, and private instruction are available weekly. Check the booking calendar for current availability.
Please check in at the range counter 10–15 minutes prior to your scheduled class start time. This allows time for waiver signing, equipment check, and instructor briefing. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join the class once instruction has begun.
