Federal law mandates that firearms ordered online or from out-of-state dealers be transferred to a federally licensed firearms dealer for pickup. When you choose Saddle River Range for your FFL transfer, we handle everything to ensure a seamless process.
Here’s how it works: Purchase your firearm from any remote or out-of-state dealer, and then provide us with their contact details via the form on this page. Upon receiving the information, we will reach out to the seller to initiate the FFL transfer. Once your firearm is processed and ready for pickup, we will notify you by email. You will need to pick up your firearm in person at Saddle River Range. Please note that the firearm will only be transferred to the individual listed on the packing slip.
Important: Do not assume that your firearm is ready for pickup simply because the tracking shows it has been delivered. There is a processing time for inbound transfers. We will contact you once your firearm is available for pickup. Be sure to check your voicemail as well—we will leave a message if we are unable to reach you directly.
When purchasing a firearm online or from an out-of-state dealer, federal law requires it to be transferred to a Federal Firearms License holder. The dealer will perform a background check before releasing the firearm to the purchaser, unless the purchaser has a Texas LTC. Saddle River Range will only release firearms upon a successful NICS background check or presentation of a valid Texas LTC.
Transfers must be picked up within 30 days of availability. After this period, a $20 storage fee will be charged on the 1st of every month. If the item is not picked up within 120 days, it will be forfeited and sold to cover storage and other expenses, with no compensation to the transferee.
