License to Carry

The License to Carry (LTC) class is designed for individuals who already have the ability to operate and shoot a handgun safely and proficiently. Please note that the LTC class does NOT teach you how to operate or shoot a handgun.

If you lack confidence in your shooting skills, we recommend attending our LTC Prep course, Essential Handgun course, or a Private Instruction Session before enrolling in the LTC class. You must be 21+ to rent a handgun, NFA items, and purchase pistol ammunition.

Curriculum Overview: The LTC curriculum covers Texas State laws and regulations related to carrying a handgun, including both concealed and open carry. Additionally, the course will review Federal laws and prohibitions related to carrying a firearm in the State of Texas.

Proficiency Demonstration: You will be required to demonstrate your shooting proficiency through a standard LTC qualification course of fire. If you wish to practice and assess your shooting level before taking the LTC class, Saddle River Range is open 7 days a week. We also offer an LTC Prep class.
