THE PERFORMANCE DR920P

The DR920P is a full sized, 17+1 pistol with an integrated compensator built into the barrel. The built-in compensator does not make use of a threaded barrel, making the DR920P compliant in many jurisdictions that have threaded-barrel-bans.

The DR920P’s comp and slide are machined to give a single-piece appearance, while the novel design allows for rapid removal and attachment of the comp for cleaning. The patent-pending integrated compensator aligns automatically without the need for set screws or other friction devices. The DR920P’s front sight is mounted directly on top of the comp, for faster shot-to-shot tracking.

The DR920P, which fits G34 holsters, comes complete with features customers have come to expect from Shadow Systems, including an aggressively textured frame with interchangeable backstraps that adjust the point of aim, an extended beavertail, and a textured recoil control ledge. The drop-safe and carry-safe flat faced trigger has a 4.5-5 lbs pull weight with a crisp, tactile reset. The match-grade, spiral-fluted barrel features the patent-pending comp attachment system, which utilizes an easy-to-detach pin system to mount the compensator.

The DR920P is offered with the Elite model slide, which includes front and rear directional serrations, a weight-optimizing window cut, and Shadow Systems’ patented multi-footprint optic system. The optic cut allows for direct-to-slide mounting of most major brands of red dot optics, without the need for intervening plates or adapters. A green tritium front sight is mounted directly on the built-in compensator and is paired with a blacked out serrated rear sight. The DR920P fits Gen 4 G34 holsters.

DESCRIPTION

The CZ 75 SP-01 is the first full size handgun (4.6” bbl) from CZ to feature the improved manufacturing technology and ergonomics of the NATO-approved CZ 75 Compact P-01 model. Featuring an integral 1913 accessory rail on the dust cover, rubber grip panels, and CZ’s corrosion resistant black polycoat finish, the SP-01 is the newest model to join the family of pistols based on the CZ 75 (SA/DA) platform. Borrowing from the improved grip geometry of the compact P-01, the SP-01 utilizes an extended beavertail to protect shooter’s strong hand as well as allowing for a deeper and more secure grip. Much more than just our take on the striker-fired pistol, the P-10 is decidedly CZ, from the way it feels to the way it shoots.

First order of business, ergonomics. Anyone who’s picked up a CZ 75 for the first time gets it — it just has to feel right in the hand. With the CZ grip angle, the P-10 avoids that ‘brick-in-the-hand’ feeling that has plagued many in the striker-fired genre, allowing it to point naturally. A mild palm swell, deep beavertail and three interchangeable backstraps make the P-10 fit a wide variety of hands as if it were built for them. Because it was.

Next up, trigger. So many striker-fired pistols do many things right, falling short when it comes time to pull the trigger. The P-10’s trigger is designed to minimize creep and stacking, and after initial break-in averages a clean 4.5-5 lb pull and rebounds with a short, positive reset — meaning single shots can be meticulously placed while follow-ups are effortless.

Built to withstand the rigors of military use, its fiber-reinforced polymer frame and hardy nitride finish are made for the daily grind. A generous trigger guard allows use with gloved hands while being undercut to allow as high a grip as possible, and a set of metal tactical 3-dot sights allow for one-handed manipulation of the slide on a belt.

The CR920 is an ultra-concealable subcompact that is designed with comfortable shootability in mind. Designed to shoot like a full size pistol, the CR920 conceals easily inside G43X MOS or G48 MOS holsters, while packing a 13+1 round extended capacity or 10+1 flush-fit capacity.

The CR920 comes equipped with the Shadow Systems features you have come to expect, like an aggressively textured frame. The frame texture is wrapped around the frame to keep the CR920 firmly seated in the shooter’s hands, despite its small size. The extended magazine baseplate features the same texture on the front, to allow an extra tacky point of contact for the pinky finger.

The slide features directional serrations in the front, rear for all models. The Elite model adds directional topside serrations and a weight-optimizing window cut. Steel sights feature a blacked out serrated rear and a bright green tritium front, for easy sight picture. Combat Optic and Elite models come equipped with the patented Shadow Systems multi-footprint optic cut. The optic cut allows direct-to-slide mounting of a variety of micro red dot options from the top brands, including the Shield RMS and Holosun 507k. In development for more than four years, the VP9 is Heckler & Koch’s latest handgun and the first striker fired HK since the renowned P7 series pistols were introduced in the 1980s.

Experience gained by HK engineers with the recent P30 pistol had a direct influence on the design of the VP9, but the VP9 breaks new ground with its integration of a unique striker firing system with an enhanced HK “light pull” trigger. The net result is trigger quality unequaled in any production striker fired handgun.

HK pioneered the first striker fired handguns, producing both the VP70 and P7 series, designs that impacted several models by HK competitors. But a superior trigger has eluded most striker fired pistol designs. The VP9 trigger surpasses those found on competitors. It has a short, light take-up with a solid, single action type break followed by a short positive reset.

The VP9 trigger has a consistent pre-travel pull with a positive wall/crisp break. Typically, striker fired guns have a pre-travel pull that increases in weight as you go through the trigger stroke. With the VP9, you have a less than noticeable pre-travel pull until the trigger reaches the engagement point of the fire control parts prior to trigger break.

The VP9 uses HK’s ergonomic handgun grip design that includes three changeable backstraps and six side panels— accommodating all hand sizes. Molded finger grooves in the front of the pistol’s grip also instinctively position an operator’s hand for optimal shooting. Only HK handguns have such a customized grip.

Although influenced by other HK models, the VP9 has all the hallmarks of the latest, state-of-the-art handgun. All controls are completely ambidextrous. Slide releases are present on both sides of the frame and the magazine release can be easily activated by left- or right-handed shooters.

A new feature is HK’s patented charging supports — simple components that are mounted on each side of the rear of the slide and provide better gripping leverage for racking the slide rearward. The charging supports speed reloading and make operating the VP9 easier for shooters with reduced hand strength.
