Handgun Fundamentals

Details

Handgun Fundamentals is the follow up course to Essential Handgun and it is the class needed to properly learn how to keep a firearm working when the unexpected happens while shooting.

By learning how to correct common shooting problems, clearing malfunctions, proper reloading techniques, and shooting one-handed, students will become more comfortable and proficient in using their handgun, while doing so safely and effectively.

This course is geared toward those with a basic firearms knowledge obtained through our Essential Handgun course, NRA Basic Pistol, or a basic understanding of firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, and firearm function.

This class is a required prerequisite for Home Handgun 1 and Defensive Handgun 1, and it is highly recommended before taking other advanced courses such as the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Inside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home course.

NOTE: Shooting proficiency must be demonstrated and failing to do so properly, will result in dismissal from the course and enrollment in a future Essential Handgun course or Private Instruction.
