Introduction To Action Shooting

Details

THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO SHOOT CLASS OR A TACTICS CLASS!!

This class is about learning how action shooting sports are set up, what the rules are for scoring and penalties, and how matches are conducted.

This class is geared toward those individuals that have an intermediate skill level and are proficient with the use of their firearms, to include proper and safe handling, presenting their firearm from the holster and re-holstering, managing and effectively solving firearm malfunctions, knowing how to properly reload their firearms, and the proper wear of the required equipment.

If you do not have these capabilities, then this class is not for you.

Have you ever considered participating in an action shooting competition, but felt you lacked the equipment, information or skill? Have you competed in a few matches, are now hopelessly hooked, and would like to improve? Or maybe you are just looking for a chance to further your action shooting skills against others…. If so, then this is your opportunity!

Over the course of an hour and half, participants will run through three (3) action shooting stages. Course participants will be placed into a squad and a member of our training staff will be the Range Safety Officer throughout the course, providing guidance, advice, tips and tricks on improving and understanding how action shooting matches are conducted. We will also look at the game itself and discuss; stage breakdown, rules, match preparation, training, practicing and equipment selection.

The knowledge and information learned in this course will be used in action shooting matches, and each student will get one-on-one instruction through each course of fire.

In addition to the class, our training staff will provide more information about the local action shooting league held at the Saddle River Range on the last Sunday of every month.

The class will be limited to no more than 10 students, so if you plan on attending, please sign up now!
